Offshore models are ideal for projects with no or minimal real-time communication needed, and when the vendor and the client are able to clearly communicate issues, changes and needs at a technical level. However, there can be significant challenges when it comes to highly interactive processes. Additionally, the time zone differences can result in relatively slower turnaround times for issue resolution, or needs for further clarification on requirements.
